BuTech Safety Heads
Butech safety head assemblies serve as a holder for rupture discs. Safety heads with rupture discs are used a sample and inexpensive overpressure relief devices. System pressure is relieved as a result of a rupture of the disc. Standard materials of construction for the safety heads are 316 stainless steel. The Safety Heads are available for use with 2 different styles of rupture discs, the ¼” Angled Disc and the ½” Flat Disc.
The ¼” Angled Disc has a ¼” blow-out diameter, an angular seat and can be ordered with rupture pressures from 900 psi to 60,000 psi.
The ½” Flat Disc has a ½” blow-out diameter, a flat seat and can be ordered with rupture pressures from 500 psi to 10,000 psi. The flat disc design uses a reversible hold down ring which greatly reduces the likely hood of installation errors.
